Agartala, Sept 16 (FD) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday slammed the grand old Congress party for partition of the country and creation of Pakistan, which led to historical injustices and sufferings of Hindus in Bangladesh.
Speaking at the inauguration of the Siddheswari temple in Barkathal, West Tripura district, about 25 Km from here Adityanath alleged that the Congress leadership had accepted partition to secure power.
“The British Government always tried to divide people and rule the country. They hatched the first conspiracy in 1905 to divide Bengal, but their move was resisted by the society. But the Congress leadership failed to resist the two-nation theory raised by the Muslim League, when it gained momentum. They allowed historical injustice to occur for the Hindus”, Adityanath said.
He also urged the people of Tripura to keep a close vigil on the situation ad developments in Bangladesh and must introspect why such a situation has arisen in the neighbouring country.
“So long Pakistan exists, troubles for Hindus would continue. It is like cancer for the entire world. The greed of the Congress for power has led to creation of Pakistan”, he said.
Adityanath said, during Hindu festivals, rioters often wreaked havoc in Uttarpradesh, but things have changed now.
“We must protect Dharma and then Dharma will protect us. When Sanatan stands for everyone, but we must protect our religious rights first and then others”, he said.
