Woodlands Hospital expands as Multi-Super Specialty hub in East India

Agartala, Dec 18 (FD) Woodlands Hospital, a renowned healthcare institution and part of the RP Sanjiv Goenka Group, is set to become a multi-super specialty hospital and cancer care center by 2026. The announcement was made during a press conference where the Managing Director and CEO, Rupak Barua, confirmed a meeting with the state government to facilitate the hospital's expansion.

Located at 8/5 Alipore Road, the 10-story hospital will feature 150 additional beds and cutting-edge medical technology. Known for its pioneering efforts, Woodlands Hospital has earned accolades such as NABH, NABL, ISO, and 27000 certifications. The hospital boasts East India’s first cath lab and has performed over 30,000 successful bypass surgeries. It is also recognized for its excellence in robotic surgeries and advanced imaging equipment, including a 256-slice Siemens CT scanner and a Magnetom Vario 3 Tesla MRI machine.

Recently, a patient from a remote Tripura village was successfully treated using interventional radiology after an unsuccessful surgery elsewhere, showcasing the hospital’s expertise in critical care.
