Women’s T20 World Cup 2024: Harmanpreet Kaur named in Team of Tournament

Indian Women’s Cricket Team skipper Harmanpreet Kaur has been named in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 Team of the Tournament.

She is the only player from India in the 12-member squad announced by the ICC, which includes players from seven countries. Despite India’s disappointing campaign in the recently held T20 World Cup, Harmanpreet Kaur was the standout performer for the Women in Blue. She scored 150 runs in four innings.

On the other hand, South Africa skipper Laura Wolvaardt has been named as the captain of the Team of the Tournament who led her squad to finals and made a solid presence for her side throughout the tournament.
