Women’s Cricket: BCCI announces 15-member squad for India’s ODI series against Ireland

The Board of Control for Cricket in India, BCCI, has announced the 15-member squad for India’s upcoming three-match ODI series against Ireland. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur and ace pacer Renuka Singh Thakur have been rested for the series. Smriti Mandhana will lead the Women in Blue in Harmanpreet’s absence, while Deepti Sharma will serve as the vice-captain. Richa Ghosh and Uma Chetry will be the wicket-keepers.
Other members of the squad include Pratika Rawal, Harleen Deol, Jemimah Rodrigues, Tejal Hasabnis, Raghvi Bist, Minnu Mani, Priya Mishra, Tanuja Kanwer, Titas Sadhu, Saima Thakor, and Sayali Satghare.
The ODI series will begin on January 10, with the second match scheduled for January 12 and the final match taking place on January 15. All games will be played at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot.
In their recent outing in the 50-over format, the Women in Blue white-washed the West Indies, with a 3-NIL win last December.
