Woman loses left hand in collision between autorickshaws

Agartala, Aug 26 (FD) In an accident this morning, a woman lost her left hand after a collision between two autorickshaws in Agartala. The incident occurred near the old Raj Bhawan traffic point as Anamika Datta, 38, from Nandan Nagar, was traveling from GBP Hospital's Chaumuhuni area towards Agartala town. Simultaneously, another autorickshaw was heading towards GBP Hospital at high speed.
The two vehicles collided head-on, resulting in severe injuries. Datta’s left hand was severed in the impact and was found on the road. The scene caused immediate panic, and bystanders rushed Datta, who was unconscious, to GBP Hospital with the severed hand. Despite medical efforts, doctors were unable to reattach the hand.
The police have launched an investigation into the accident. Both autorickshaws and their drivers are being detained for further questioning. Officials from the NCC police station are currently stationed at GBP Hospital, and the case remains under investigation. FD SB
