Veteran journalist, Patha Sengupta is no more

Agartala, Sept 30 (FD) Partha Sengupta, veteran journalist, who was working in Daily Desher Katha has died of diseases related cardiac and nervous problems on early Saturday at GB Panth hospital here.

He was 67 and survived by wife and one son.

Earlier, he also worked at Syandan Patrika and was dear to all sections of people.

He was a very honest and compassionate journalist.

On receipt of the news of his death many literature and journalists visited his home at Akhaura road.

His mortal remain was also brought to the Agartala Press Club and many journalists paid floral tributes.

His body was consigned to flame at Battala burning ghat here. FD JK
