Veteran IPS Officer Anurag takes helm as Tripura DGP

Agartala, May 18(FD) The Director General of Police, in-charge of Intelligence, Anurag Dhyankar was appointed as the full fledge DGP of Tripura as the incumbent DGP, Amitava Ranjan is going on retirement this month.
A 1994 batch of IPS officer, Anurag is a seasoned police officer has a deep knowledge of Tripura’s ground realities as he served in Tripura for total 16 years in various capacities.
An official notification issued by the General Administration department says, “In the interest of public service, the Governor, in consultation with the Union Public Service Commission, is pleased to appoint Anurag, IPS (Tripura cadre 1994 batch), DGP, Tripura, to the post of Director General of Police”.
