Vedic Brahman Samaj established its headquarters at Krishnanagar at agartala

Agartala, May 4 (FD) The Vedic Brahman Samaj, famous religious body of the Hindu cult in Tripura on Sunday established its headquarters in a two storied building at Krishnanagar Kalibari lane here.

The newly built headquarter was inaugurated by state’s famous lawyer, Kalyan Narayan Bhattacharya.

The land was donated by famous historian Dr. Dhananjoy Ganchowdhury, who remained present in the occasion as the Chief Guest. 
Among others, Dr. Jagadish Ganchowdhury, the President of the Tripura Board of Secondary Education, who was the Special Guest of the occasion.

The inaugural programme began at 9 am with chanting of the hymns from Debi Chandi and Srimad Geeta and ended with the ritual of worshipping Lord Narayana of the Hindu religion.

It was formally inaugurated by state’s renowned lawyer Kalyan Narayan Bhattacharjee while the chief guest in the programme was Dr Dhananjay Ganchowdhury , incumbent president of the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE). Dr Jagadish Ganchowdhury, the donor of the land and veteran scholar and historian, was a special guest in the inaugural programme which commenced at 7-00 AM with chanting of hymns of ‘Debi Chandi’ and ‘Srimad Bhagwat Geeta’. There was also ritual worship of Lord Narayana.

The President of the Society, Jiban Krishna Bhattacharjee and General Secretary, Chandan Chakraborty were also present in the programme.

Several Speakers expressed their concern at the killing and torture on the Hindus in the neighboring Bangladesh.

They said the Hindus are non-violent in nature but the Muslim fundamentalists are perpetrating torture on them for only being Hindus. FD JK
