VB-G RAM G to ensure 125 days of rural employment: CM Dr. Saha

Agartala, Jan 24 (FD) Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Saturday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s flagship ‘Viksit Bharat – VB-G RAM G’ scheme aims to strengthen the rural economy by guaranteeing 125 days of employment annually for unskilled rural workers.
Addressing a one-day state-level workshop at the BJP Tripura Pradesh office, the Chief Minis
ter highlighted the scheme’s role in enhancing livelihoods, income security, and self-reliance in villages. He said the government is committed to transparently presenting the scheme’s key features to the public while countering misinformation being spread by the opposition.
Rajya Sabha MP and BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee said the VB-G RAM G Act was passed in the Rajya Sabha on December 18, 2025, and implemented from December 21, replacing the earlier 100-day employment guarantee with 125 days and additional benefits. He noted that the legislation would play a vital role in long-term socio-economic development of rural communities.
Minister Kishor Barman, the state convener of the VB-G RAM G campaign, said awareness drives would be conducted from booth to village levels to ensure people understand the scheme’s benefits. Ministers, MLAs, district presidents, chairpersons, and party functionaries attended the workshop. FD SB
