Union ministers assure support for Tripura airport, railway, and consumer affairs projects: Sushata

Agartala, Mar 6 (FD) Union minister for civil aviation, Rammoha Naidu assured Tripura Transport Minister Sushata Chowdhury that his ministry would request the Ministry of Home Minister for setting up a custom’s Check post at the Agartala MBB airport as a precursor for declaring the airport as an International airport.

“If the Custom’s check post is set up, it would pave the way for declaring the airport as an international airport. He told me when I met him in Delhi recently”, state Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury told reporters.

He further said by all likelyhood the union minister would pay a visit to the abandoned airport at Kailashahar so that it could be star again.

Chowdhury also met Union Ministr for railways Asdwini Vaishnav and requested him for introduction of the Vande Bharat express and the railway minister also assured him of doing all needful.

The Union Minister for Consumers Affairs Prahlad Joshi assured him of clering 53.17 crores as bills and also assured to see if a regional office of the Consumers Affairs could be set up at Agartala. FD JK
