Union Minister Prahlad Joshi arrives in Tripura

Agartala, Dec 28 (FD) Union Minister for Food, Consumer Protection and Public Distribution System (PDS), Prahlad Joshi arrived here on Saturday to review his department’s works.
He was received at the MBB airport by Tripura minister for Food and Civil supplies Sushanta Chowdhury, MLA and General Secretary of BJP, Bhagawan Chandra Das and the Secretary of the state’s Food and Civil Supplies Ravel Hemendra Kumar
Officials said that he is busy with the review meeting of the department with the concerned minister and the government officials at the State Guest House and enquiring about the benefits granted by the centre to the poor people in the state through PDS.
Officials further said that another round of meeting will be held tomorrow and then the Union Minister will pay a courtesy visit to the Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and discuss about the concerning issues of PDS and the problems faced by the state.
It is also likely to come in the discussion about the constraints faced by the state during rainy season about the PDS. FD JK
