Union Minister encourages youth to serve nation at 8th rozgar mela

Agartala, Aug 28 (FD) Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Pratima Bhoumik, emphasized the importance of dedicated service to the country and state while addressing the state-level event as part of the 8th Rozgar Mela. The Minister expressed her belief that India would emerge as a prosperous and developed nation by 2047, and she called upon the newly appointed youth to contribute significantly to this vision during their 25 years of service.

The occasion marked the distribution of appointment letters to 447 deserving youth from the state, with over 51,000 appointments being granted across the central paramilitary forces nationwide. Minister Bhoumik noted that the recruitment process, which previously spanned 18 to 20 months, has been streamlined under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, now concluding within six months of initiation.

Drawing parallels with streamlined government initiatives, Bhoumik highlighted the potential for distributing appointment letters swiftly, similar to the seamless provision of benefits under programs like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and PM Kisan Samman Nidhi.

The nationwide 8th Rozgar Mela was inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi through electronic means, and the event was held simultaneously at 45 locations, including Tripura. In the state, the event took place at the Tripura Frontier Headquarters of the Border Security Force (BSF) in Agartala. The event celebrated the completion of the rigorous recruitment process that spanned several months and resulted in the selection of candidates for various positions within central paramilitary forces such as CRPF, CISF, and SSB.

The Rozgar Mela not only provided promising career opportunities for the youth but also underscored the government's commitment to efficient processes and the nation's development.
