Union Health Minister JP Nadda Offers Prayers at Tripura Sundari Temple, Reviews Development Work

Agartala, Mar 9 (FD) Union Health Minister JP Nadda visited the Mata Tripura Sundari Temple in Udaipur, Tripura, where he offered prayers and sought the blessings of the deity for the welfare of the nation. Accompanied by a high-level delegation, his visit aimed at both spiritual reverence and the assessment of developmental projects under the PRASAD (Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Augmentation Drive) scheme.
During the visit, Nadda was joined by Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, MP Rajib Bhattacharya, MP Dr. Sambit Patra, MLA Abhishek Debroy, MLA Jitendra Majumdar, former Union Minister Pratima Bhowmik, and senior state officials. Upon their arrival, they were warmly received by Gomati District Magistrate Tarit Kanti Chakma, who provided an overview of the temple’s ongoing development initiatives.
The PRASAD project focuses on preserving the temple’s cultural heritage while modernizing its infrastructure to enhance the experience of devotees. The development work includes better facilities, improved access roads, and amenities to accommodate increasing pilgrim footfall.
Following the prayers, Union Minister Nadda extended his best wishes to BJP workers in the Gomati district and expressed his hope for the happiness, prosperity, and well-being of the people of Tripura. His visit emphasized the government's commitment to religious tourism and heritage conservation in the state.
