Tesla Inc boss Elon Musk on Saturday defended the move of removing about half of Twitters workforce by saying that he had no choice as the company was losing more than $4m a day.

In an internal email, the social media company earlier said the cuts are an effort to place Twitter on a healthy path, reports BBC.The firm added that its offices would be temporarily closed and badge access would be suspended, the British media reported.
