Agartala, Oct 19 (FD) BJP and its arch rival TIPRA Motha on Wednesday submitted deputations in several places of Tripura over problems in Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC)
Tripra Motha on Wednesday protesting against the delay in holding Village Committee polls placed deputation and held protest rallies across the state.
Huge security arrangements were made by the police in the Kalyanpur block area centering the deputation place d by Tipra Motha.
A procession started from the Kalyanpur Makhan Chakraborty Bridge that traversed various roads of Kalyanpur and finally headed towards Kalyanpur Block.
The police stopped the procession in front of the block.
Later, a seven-member delegation led by Tipra Motha party leader Manihar Debdarma placed deputation to Kalyanpur Block BDO Tarun Kanti Sarkar.
Later a meeting presided by EM Kamal Kalai, DWF State President Manihar Debbarma, District Youth Leader Rajesh Debbarma and others was held in Kalyanpur.
Meanwhile, as part of prescheduled deputation to sub-zonal offices across the state, Janjati Morcha functionaries participated in deputation submission drive across the state in support of their protest against alleged corruption in the ADC administration.
MP Rebati Tripura in a press conference on Tuesday alleged that the Tipra Motha-led TTAADC administration is not working within the framework of the constitution.
Citing a letter issued by Girish Chandra Murmu, Controller and Auditor General of India, addressed to Tripura Governor Satyadev Narayan Arya, the MP said, “Works are not being done under the framework of the Constitution. There is no financial discipline. The TTAADC administration is not keeping the records, utilization certificates of the fund allotted under the state or central government schemes.”
According to the MP, the letter was written to the Tripura governor in June last asking for taking action against the TTAADC administration in this connection. A letter was then sent to the CEO of TTAADC on the issue.
The MP also alleged that the TTAADC administration did not take any step in this regard even after a considerable time had passed.
To register their protest against the irregularities, the Janajati Morcha on Wednesday submit ted deputations to all Sub-Zonal addressing the Governor including – Fatikroy, Hrishyamukh, Ambassa, Karamcherra and Duski.
