Agartala, June 22 (FD) In a major recognition of Tripura’s innovative governance practices, the Unakoti District Administration has been honoured with the prestigious SKOCH Award for its flagship governance initiative, ‘Sampark’, at the 108th SKOCH Summit held in New Delhi.
The award was presented during a ceremony at the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry on August Kranti Marg and was received on behalf of the district administration by District Magistrate Megha Jain and Dr. Tamal Majumdar.
According to officials, the award was conferred under the summit’s theme, “Regulatory Framework for Viksit Bharat,” in recognition of the ‘Sampark’ initiative’s contribution to improving administrative efficiency, enhancing public service delivery, and strengthening citizen-centric governance.
The initiative has been widely appreciated for fostering greater engagement between the administration and the public while ensuring improved responsiveness and more effective implementation of government programmes at the grassroots level.
