Two incidents of suicide reported in the state

Agartala, Nov 20 (FD) With the incidences of conflicts and taboos on the rise at least two incidents suicide and suicide attempt was reported from different parts of the state in last two days.
A housewife Sangita Sinha, who happens to be the wife of a retired police officer Amal Kumar Sinha, in Kailashahar was found hanging in their home.
Despite efforts to reach her, there was no response, leading to the tragic occurnce. The incident is under investigation by Kailashahar Women Police Station, which is treating it as an unusual death case. Sangita's body is at Unakoti District Hospital for post-mortem and further details will be available after the otopsy.
In Kalagang, Kadamtala RD block in North Tripura district, 10th-grade student Shamima Begum attempted suicide after a disagreement with her father, Tajuddin, over acquiring a mobile phone. Consuming a poisonous substance in anger, Shamima was rushed to North District Hospital, Dharmanagar, where timely medical intervention saved her life. The incident underscores the need for addressing emotional well-being among adolescents. FD SB JK
