Two CPI-M workers arrested

Agartala, Dec 7 (FD) Tension ran high at Noapara under Bishalgarh police station of Sepahijala police station on Saturday following raiding of a house and looting of Rs.2 lakh from there, police said.

Two CPI-M workers, identified as Milad Hossain and Sumit Das were arrested by police in connection with the raiding of the house of Saddam Hossain, a BJP worker.

Police said the duo had raided Saddam’s house and ransacked the properties and managed to loot Rs.2 lakhs from his house.

On receipt of the information, member of the Noapara Panchayats, Jashimuddin rushed to spot and managed to detain the attackers with the help of the other people.

Police said that matter of money transactions might be involved with the case. However, everything would be clear after investigation.

The incident took place in the morning and it is presumed that the victims were sent to a local court. FD JK
