Two Bangladeshis arrested from Agartala railway station

Agartala, April 18 (FD) A team of Government Railway Police (GRP) and BSF today arrested two Bangladeshi women from Agartala railway station, Officer-in-charge of Agartala GRP police station, Tapas Das said.
Acting on a tip-off the police team arrested Nadia Akhtar (19) and Rupali Akhtar (38) and handed them to Amtoli police station.
Police said during preliminary interrogation it was known that Rupali Akhtar, a resident of Manik Ganj in Bangladesh is a king pin of trafficking women and Nadia Akhtar, a resident of Barishal also had joined the profession recently.
Tripura has emerged as a major route of women trafficking and infiltration of Bangladeshis and the touts from Bangladesh and India facilitate their entry into Indian territory.
Recently, eight Bangladeshis were arrested from a market in Delhi, who were residing there without any valid documents.
Das said that the entry of the illegal Bangladeshis inside India has become a major threat to the security of nation. FD JK
