Two arrested for kidnapping and raping a minor

Agartala, Dec 11 (FD) Two persons were arrested by police on charge of kidnap and gang raping a minor girl at village in Unakoti district on Sunday last, police said today.

“We acted on the basis of a complaint from the family members of the victim that a minor girl was kidnapped and subsequently raped by two persons. They told us that the minor girl received a phone call from the perpetrators that she should come out of home. As she came out near the gate, they forcibly took her to the bike and raped her in a place”, the officer-in-charge of the local police station told reporters. 

Police framed the charge against the accused, aged 35 and 25 for penetrative sexual assault under the protections of Children from Sexual offences (Posco) act. They were presented before a local court on Tuesday last. FD JK
