Agartala, April 29 (FD) In a moment of immense pride for Tripura, President Droupadi Murmu conferred the prestigious Padma Shri award upon Prof. Arunoday Saha, a distinguished educationist and former Vice-Chancellor of Tripura University, during a ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Prof. Saha, recognized for his invaluable contributions to literature and education, was honored with the fourth-highest civilian award in India.
Prof. Saha’s career has been marked by exceptional achievements in both academia and literature. As the first Vice-Chancellor of Tripura University after it became a Central University in 2007, he played a pivotal role in the institution's transformation, driving academic reforms and expanding its infrastructure.
