Tripura University holds a two-day-long workshop on ‘Status of implementation of NEP-2020’

Agartala, Jan (FD) Tripura University in association with ICSSR, NER Centre of Shillong organised a two-day-long workshop in order to take stock of implementation of status of NEP-2020 in schools, colleges and universities of Tripura.
More than 400 stakeholders including Vice Chancellors of Tripura University, MBB University, Director of DHE, Government of Tripura, Director of Central Sanskrit University Ekalavya Campus, Principals and faculty members, teachers of different colleges and schools, parents and students of Tripura participated in these two-day workshop.
Addressing the workshop, Atul Kothari, National Secretary of Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas in New Delhi interacted with the stakeholders and emphasized on raising awareness among students and at the community level about the positive changes and opportunities that NEP brings.
Kothari also highlighted the needs to incorporate Indian knowledge system in all levels of Education. Timir Tripathy, Coordinator o NER, Shiksha Sanskriti Uthan Nyas and Regional Director of IGNOU, Kohima also highlights the benefits of NEP-2020.
The programme was conceptualised and coordinated by Dr. Deepak Sharma, Registrar and presided over by Prof. Ganga Prasad Prasain, Vice-Chancellor of Tripura University and Chairperson of NEP Committee (NER).
Prof. Prasain assured the house that he is committed to implement the NEP-2020 in the University. The programme was moderated by Prof. Shaon Raychoudhury and reported by Dr. Jay Saha. FD PD
