Tripura University celebrates 'World Entrepreneurship Day'

Agartala, Aug 24 (FD) The 'World Entrepreneurship Day' was celebrated in Tripura Central University on Wednesday.
It was observed in collaboration with the `Swadeshi Jagran Manch (SJM)’, a national organization which is supporting local entrepreneurship and skill development at grass root level in remote parts of the country. The program was organized at the MBB Auditorium of the University.
Prof Ganga Prasad Prasain, Vice-Chancellor of the University chaired the programme in presence of other dignitaries.
During the programme successful first generation entrepreneurs who were students of the University were felicitated.
Young entrepreneurs Manna Roy of Bash Gram startup, Kishlay Chakraborty and other young entrepreneurs of the state have shared their success stories with the students of the University and motivated them.
National Convenor of SJM and renowned social activist R. Sunderam, social activist and influencer Ananda Shankar Panigrahi and Director N. C. Sharma, Directorate of Higher Education, Govt. of Tripura, CA Ratan Das, noted chartered accountant of the state, Head of Dept. of Management, Tripura University- Prof. Debarshi Mulcherjee and others were present in the programme.
Dr. Deepak Sharma, Registrar of the University described various projects running in the University and directed towards increasing the employability of the students.
Encouraging the students the speakers stressed on Self-Entrepreneurship claiming it is the demand of post covid India. FD PD JK
