Tripura Students to Meet President at Rashtrapati Bhavan During Raksha Bandhan Programme

Agartala, Aug 27 (FD) A group of young students from Tripura is set to receive a special opportunity to meet the President of India at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi as part of a special Raksha Bandhan programme scheduled for August 28.

The seven-member delegation from Tripura will be led by Abhijit Samajpati, State Nodal Officer for the Raksha Bandhan Festival at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The team is scheduled to participate in the programme in New Delhi and represent the state on the special occasion.

The School Education Department has finalised the names of the students, teachers and officials who will represent Tripura at the event. The delegation was selected on the basis of the final nominations received from the District Education Officer, West Tripura.

The selected students are Meheresia Sarkar, Pratik Sarkar, Rike Deb and Amit Kumar Sarkar, all from Netajinagar English Medium SB School under West Tripura district.

According to official records, the students are between 10 and 11 years of age and are studying in different classes. The accompanying teachers will remain with the students throughout the visit and participation in the programme.

The Tripura delegation is also expected to showcase the state's rich cultural heritage and traditions during the special programme at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

The visit is being seen as a memorable opportunity for the young students to participate in a national-level celebration and interact with the country's highest constitutional authority at the historic Rashtrapati Bhavan. FD JK
