Agartala, July 28 (FD) In a significant step towards strengthening Tripura's financial ecosystem and promoting investment-led growth, the State Government on Monday signed three landmark Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with the National Stock Exchange (NSE) to enhance financial literacy, skill development, entrepreneurship and institutional capacity.
The agreements were signed at Pragya Bhavan in Agartala in the presence of Chief Minister Manik Saha.
Describing the collaboration as a milestone for the state's economic development, the Chief Minister said the partnership would help build a financially aware and skilled workforce while creating new opportunities for entrepreneurship and investment.
According to the Chief Minister, the initiative is designed to empower the youth through financial education and industry-oriented skill development, facilitate greater access to capital markets for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), strengthen the capacity of government officials through specialised training in financial and economic management, and foster a more vibrant investment climate in the state.
He said the agreements would contribute to creating a stronger ecosystem for innovation, enterprise and sustainable economic growth by connecting various stakeholders with the country's capital market infrastructure.
Highlighting the institutional significance of the collaboration, Dr. Saha said the State Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development (SIPARD) has become one of the first government training institutions in the country to enter into such a large-scale strategic partnership with the National Stock Exchange. The initiative, he said, sets a new national benchmark in institutional capacity building and public sector training.
The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the partnership would play a key role in transforming Tripura's economic landscape by enhancing financial inclusion, encouraging entrepreneurship and attracting greater investment to the state.
