Tripura Shanti Niketan Medical College begins admission process, aspirants make beeline for admission

Agartala, Nov 4 (FD) The ‘Tripura Shanti Niketan Medical College’, a newly established medical college has obtained permission for admission of 150 students from the National Medical Commission (NMC) and has started admission for MBBS course there, Chairman of the College, Malay Pit said.
The students aspiring for admission in the institution and their guardians are making a beeline for admission in the private medical college at Ranir Khamar near here.
The process of admission would be completed on November 5 along with the rest of the country.
“We have started classes in virtual mode and the teachings are available in social media like ‘YouTube’ and ‘Face book’. We have also started OPD service in the college as well as in the under-construction hospital from August this year with a minimal rate of Rs. 10 per patient”, Pit told reporters.
He asserted that 650 bed hospital will be completed by the next year and for the time being, students would also utilize the IGM hospital as affiliated teaching hospital of the ‘Tripura Shanti Niketan Medical College’ for two years adding that the state government already dish up permission in this regard.
Pit, who has knowledge of building hospitals said, in next two years another 1100-bed multi super-specialty hospital will be built up in the same premise.
“We have also chalked out a comprehensive plan build up a separate college for diploma and degree courses in Horticulture in the state and we would create a knowledge hub in the college premise”, he said. FD JK
