Tripura Schools Join Hands in Swachhata Hi Sewa 2025 with Massive Cleanliness Drive

Agartala, Sept 24 (FD) As part of the nationwide observance of the Swachhata Hi Sewa (SHS) Campaign-2025, schools across Tripura today organized the “Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath” programme at 12 noon. The initiative, themed “Swachhotsav” under the Ministry of Education’s guidelines, is being observed from September 17 to October 2, 2025, culminating on Swachh Bharat Diwas as a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary.
In today’s programme, students, teachers, staff, and members of the School Management Committees (SMC) conducted a one-hour intensive cleanliness drive within school campuses and surrounding areas. Reports from the Directorate of Secondary Education confirmed participation from more than five lakh students and teachers across the state, creating a remarkable example of collective action and civic engagement.
District Education Officers highlighted the extraordinary enthusiasm and dedication displayed during the event. School grounds echoed with the energy of young learners who not only cleaned their surroundings but also spread awareness on hygiene, discipline, and civic responsibility.
Officials emphasized that such large-scale initiatives under the Swachhata Hi Sewa Campaign-2025 contribute significantly towards transforming educational institutions into cleaner, healthier, and more vibrant spaces. The drive reaffirmed the critical role of schools in nurturing responsible citizens and advancing the national mission of building a cleaner India.
