Tripura proudly hosted the 67th National School Games (Yoga), Tripura CM inaugurates the event here

Agartala, Nov 23 (FD) Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha Thursday asserted that India is showing a new orientation to the world about the importance of Yoga as no one’s life can be full-fledged without this art.
Saha said this while inaugurating the 67th National School under 17 Yoga competitions at the Netaji Subhash Regional Sports Training Centre Indoor stadium here. 24 Indian states have joined the five day competition.
Chief Minister said, the United Nations Organisation (UNO) has declared 21st June as the World Yoga Day responding to the request of the Prime Minister of our country.
State Sports Minister, Tinku Roy, who was also present in the gala event, said that India has made many achievements in the field of sports under the leadership of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Emphasising the importance of yoga for holistic development, Chief Minister said, this competition will have positive impact for mental well being of the youths.
Drawing from his own sports background, the Chief Minister highlighted his achievements in a cross-country race of 10 kilometres, and the champion of Eastern University in badminton.
The successful hosting of the National School Games underscores Tripura's commitment to promoting sports and healthy lifestyles. FD SB
