Tripura police to organize technology hackathon for effective policing

Agartala, Aug 23 (FD): Tripura Police on Monday announced that it would organize a technology hackathon in September to find out seek out ground-breaking technological solutions for efficient and effective policing.
Tripura Police is organising ‘Tripura Police Technology Hackathon 2022’ from September 01 this year as a part of Government "100 days action plan", a statement issued by police said.
"The Hackathon intends to seek technological solution for efficient and effective administration of Tripura Police. This Hackathon is being organized in association with National Institute of Technology (NIT), Agartala as Knowledge Partner. Resource persons from different Institutions of other states are also expected to participate", the statement said.
The AIG also said the Hackathon initiative would address multiple problems which affect the daily lives of citizens and try to solve them technologically.
As per the officials involved with organizing the Hackathon, its schedule includes concept note, proof of concept, development of prototype and hands on demonstration. Participants would be mentored by resource persons from prominent technical institutions and the solutions arising out of the contest would be evaluated by an jury comprising experts.
The winners would be given Rs. 25,000 and certificates while the contestant ending runners-up would be given Rs. 15,000 and certificates.
The state police also introduced a helpline to aid contestants.
Registration for the 'hackathon' would commence September 01. Students from across the country would be allowed to participate in this Hackathon. FD JK
