Tripura police seize 3660 kg of ganja worth Rs 7.3 crore, nab 2

Agartala, Mar 30 (FD) Police seized 3660 kg of ganja worth Rs 7.3 crore from a vehicle and arrested two persons in this connection on Thursday.
Acting on a tip-off, police personnel from Pecharthal police station led by SDPO Kamal Debbarma, Officer-in-Charge Suman Acharjee, and other officers detained a ten-wheeler tanker at the Pecharthal checkpoint.
During the search, the police recovered 3660 kilograms of marijuana worth Rs. 7.3 crore, they said.
Police also seized the vehicle and arrested the driver, Priyalal Debbarma (27), of  Ruprai Ashram under Kalyanpur police station, and the assistant driver, Paresh Debbarma (42) of Ramkishore Para under Mandai police station.
Police have registered a specific case under the NDPS Act, 1985, in this connection. FD PD
