Tripura Police officer Rajib Sutradhar honored with Union Minister's medal for investigation excellence

Agartala, Aug 12 (FD) Rajib Sutradhar, the Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) in Tripura's Khowai district, has brought pride to both himself and the state by clinching the prestigious Union Minister's Medal for Excellence in Investigation for 2023.

His exceptional investigative prowess, demonstrated across numerous cases, has garnered recognition from the Union Home Ministry, which has bestowed upon him this honor.

The Union Minister's Medal for Excellence in Investigation was introduced in 2018 with the aim of promoting elevated professional standards in crime investigation and acknowledging exceptional accomplishments in this domain. This year, a total of 140 police personnel from across the nation have been chosen for this esteemed award, which is announced annually on August 12.

Notably, among the recipients of this esteemed award, 15 belong to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), 12 are from the National Investigation Agency (NIA), and others are from diverse states, union territories, and organizations. A remarkable facet is the inclusion of 22 accomplished women police officers among the awardees. FD SB
