Tripura Police bust drug racket, Recover Yaba worth Over ₹5 Crore

Agartala, Mar 6 (FD) Police recovered one lakh six thousand Yaba tablets, worth more than five crore from the house of one Babul Mia at Maheshkhala, near here, police today said.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of police led by the Sub-divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Debaprasad Roy raided the house last night and recovered the drugs, which were meant for smuggling.

Superintendent of police, West Tripura district, Kiran Rao said it is a big successful event for the police of Tripura.

Rao said three drug peddlers were arrested in this connection, who were identified as Babul Mia, Sifan Hossain and Sanjoy Mia. 

He said in last eight days police of the district have arrested 21 persons. FD JK
