Agartala, Apr 01 (FD) Tripura is all set to host the G-20 Science Summit with the theme 'Clean Energy for a Green Future' in Agartala on April 3 and next on April 4.
The summit is expected to be attended by representatives from 14 G-20 countries, as well as invited members from 9 additional countries and central level representatives.
The preparations for the summit are in full swing and the state administration making arrangements for the delegates' arrival, visit to local tourist spots, and attendance at the summit itself.
The main program of the summit will be held in the indoor exhibition hall of the international fair grounds in Hapania, scheduled to begin at 9 am on Monday next.
The afternoon session will include the opening of exhibition stalls, press conference, and investor meet, with 55 stalls expected to be in attendance.
The exhibition will feature stalls from various countries, as well as products produced by the handloom and handicraft industries of the state. In addition, a yoga session has been organized at Oxygen Park on April 4 at 6:30 am, where representatives of the G-20 countries will participate in yoga.
The state administration has also implemented several programs to welcome the G-20 representatives, including the installation of a Sachin Dev Burman statue at Elbert Ekka Park, installation of a musical fountain at Kumaritila, beautification of Ujjayanta Palace and Neermahal, and installation of light and sound, as well as the development of roads and footpaths at Sepahijala Sanctuary.
Large balloons bearing the G-20 logo have also been placed at 4 locations in the city. FD PD
