Tripura heads for environmental disaster: Care Age

Agartala, April 05 (FD) Tripura is currently experiencing an environmental crisis that, if left unchecked, could also result in a significant environmental calamity, an environmental report compiled by ‘Care Age said’ recently.
This crisis is being caused by rapidly disappearing vegetation and other related factors. The most recent environmental report compiled and published by the reputable organization "Care Age," which works on the environment in various parts of the nation, brought this unkind truth to light.
In an extensive survey performed by the scientists and technicians of the "Care Age" in eleven of the nations’ small, hilly states, Tripura came in at number ten in terms of the criteria the surveyors used to evaluate the environmental quality. Before forming their opinion, The "Care Age" considered a number of factors. The factors are the following: 1) air quality index; 2) solid refuse management; 3) changing forest cover characteristics; 4) ability to renew forest cover and general environment; 5) drainage and sewage system; and 6) availability of drinking water.
The northeast's small, hilly states were given particular attention in the report, and Tripura, one of the 11 total states covered, is shown as being in 10th place overall with a score of 32.5%, while Andhra Pradesh is at the top with a score of 64.6%. The experts who reviewed the study came to the conclusion that immediate action is needed to stop the environmental deterioration in Tripura and raise all other metrics.
