Tripura Govt launches major recruitment drive

Agartala, Dec 10 (FD) The Tripura state government has announced the creation of 6,067 Special Executive posts and 498 additional positions across various departments. The recruitment initiative, revealed by Minister Sushanta Chowdhury on Tuesday, aims to address long-standing demands and enhance workforce strength in critical sectors. The Cabinet has also approved a raise in the honorarium for Special Executives from ₹11,000 to ₹13,000 per month.
Of the 498 new positions, 241 will be Lower Division Clerks (LDC), and 161 technical posts will bolster the Health Department. These include roles such as Physiotherapists, Audiometry Technicians, and Radiographers, among others. The Industries and Commerce Department will also see the addition of 96 technical positions, including Extension Officers and Field Assistants, alongside 6 Driver posts.
Minister Chowdhury emphasized the government's commitment to employment generation and sectoral development. The recruitment process will begin shortly, providing relief to job seekers and addressing shortages in vital areas.
The Cabinet also approved the creation and filling of 161 technical posts in the Health Department and 96 posts in the Industries and Commerce Department, with recruitment efforts to be managed by respective departments and the Joint Recruitment Board.
