Agartala, Nov 23 (FD) In a recent press briefing at the secretariat, Agriculture Minister Ratanlal Nath announced that the Tripura government has successfully provided regular jobs to 15,168 individuals since 2018. The comprehensive report covers recruitment in various categories, ongoing initiatives, and notable economic achievements.
Minister Nath shared that the job placements included 1,413 Tripura State Rifles (TSR) personnel. The employment spectrum ranged across categories such as DRW, contingent, contractual, and outsourcing, with over 6,000 individuals actively contributing in these roles.
Upcoming recruitment initiatives include the hiring of 6,067 Special Executives, the ongoing distribution of offers for 1,980 Group-C posts through JRBT, and the imminent commencement of interviews for 2,500 Group-D posts under JRBT.
Data from the National Career Service online portal indicates a substantial interest in employment opportunities, with a total of 2, 90,944 job aspirants, comprising 1, 12,310 general category, 58,960 OBC, 50,146 SC, and 69,528 ST aspirants.
District-wise figures reveal varying levels of interest, with Dhalai district at 28,710 aspirants, Gomati at 33,341, Khowai at 24,847, North Tripura at 27,112, Sepahijala at 31,477, South Tripura at 38,772, Unakoti at 22,799, and West Tripura leading with 83,886 registered job seekers.
Highlighting the state's economic resilience, Minister Nath reported a noteworthy increase in per capita income, rising from Rs 1,00,444 in 2017-18 to Rs 1,59,419 presently. The Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) has surged from Rs. 43,487 crore to Rs. 72,636 crore over the same period.
