Agartala, Aug 13 (FD) Tripura Council of Ministers has decided to recruit 200 pharmacists in different hospitals and create 155 new posts in different departments, which would also be filled up, Information and Cultural Affairs inister Sushanta Chowdhury said.
This decision was taken in the meeting of the council of ministers on Friday.
Chowdhury said, the meeting approved appointment of 200 pharmacists (Allopathic) under the Health and Family Welfare department of the state government.
He said, the state government would create 155 posts and the process for their appointments would be initiated soon.
Chowdhury said the new posts also included appointment 20 multi-tasking staff at the Audit Directorate of Finance department and 9 sub-inspectors (SIs) in Excise department.
All these pots will be filled up through recruitment process conducted by Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC), he added.
According to Chowdhury, 35 persons will be recruited in the Food department including 6 Food Sub-Inspectors (SIs), three posts for fumigation assistants, six posts for junior store keepers and 20 more posts of lower division clerks (LDC).
The cabinet also decided to create posts for 8 assistant divisional fire officers and 147 new posts in the PWD department including posts for draftsmen, junior draftsman, surveyor, senior surveyor and in the post of Overseer categories and all these posts will be filled up through promotions, said Chowdhury.
He said that the cabinet has sanctioned the changes in recruitment rules for pharmacist (allopathic), lab technician, Ophthalmic Assistant and added that the qualification for the post of Pharmacist (Allopath), Lab Technician, Ophthalmic Assistant posts was a diploma in Pharmacy. Due to changes made in the recruitment rules, degree holders in Pharmacy may apply for the posts. FD PD JK
