On October 13, 2023, Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath inaugurated the 33 KV Lembucherra sub-station, along with a two-story control room at the Lembucherra shopping complex, marking a crucial milestone in the state's development. A substantial investment of 6.16 crore rupees was dedicated to this project.
The new sub-station will provide essential electricity to areas including Kamalghat, Jubatara, Lembucherra, Kalapania, Nepalitila, ICAR, Agriculture College, Bhagaban Chowdhury, and beyond, benefiting more than 4,000 families in these regions. This achievement comes as part of the government's commitment to expanding the state's electricity infrastructure, with plans to construct 28 more sub-stations, significantly improving the quality of electricity service.
This substantial increase in substations is expected to significantly improve the quality of electricity services in the state. Moreover, Minister Nath shared an ambitious target for the state, aiming to generate 500 megawatts of electricity from solar energy by 2030.
