Agartala, Apr 11 (FD) In a strong appeal to promote humanitarian values, Indra Sena Reddy Nallu emphasized that blood donation is a true reflection of compassion, solidarity, and civic responsibility. He made these remarks while inaugurating a mega blood donation camp organized jointly by the Central Reserve Police Force and the Rotary Club of Aspiring Agartala at the CRPF Group Centre in the Dumdum Tea Garden area of Agartala.
Addressing the gathering, the Governor underlined that blood cannot be manufactured like other resources and can only be collected through voluntary human donation. He urged citizens to make voluntary blood donation a regular social habit and transform it into a shared civic duty. According to him, donating blood is not merely a medical act but a symbol of empathy and unity that saves countless lives.
The Governor also called for the development of a modern and well-organized system for voluntary blood donation. He highlighted the need for a centralized digital database to maintain records of donors, including blood groups and donation history. Such a system, he said, would ensure better coordination among healthcare institutions and voluntary organizations.
He congratulated the CRPF, Rotary Club members, and participating Jawans for their initiative. During the event, a magazine titled “Ujjayanta” was also officially released. Senior officials and dignitaries, including CRPF officers and Rotary Club representatives, addressed the gathering, reinforcing the importance of community participation in life-saving initiatives.
