Tripura Governor lauds state government’s initiative to build up infrastructures

Agartala, Jan 26 (FD) Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu on Sunday hoisted the tricolor at the Assam Rifles ground here as part of the celebration of the 76th Republic Day.
Addressing the Republic Day programme he said the state was progressing in all fronts from infrastructures to health, education and welfare of all sections of people.
The state has signed a historic agreement with the centre and the Tipra Motha party in March last year, which would address the problems of the indigenous people of the state.
He also termed the peace accord with the banned All Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF) and the National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT), which would bring peace and progress to the state.
The Governor said, Government’s initiative to build up infrastructures will pave the way for industrialization and investment in the state.
He said, “The centre has sanctioned Rs.2800 crore for building key roads to speed up infrastructures development. Besides, 65 projects amounting to Rs. 58.81 crore are in the progress under the Smart City Mission”.
The GUV said that the recent move to tie up with the TATA Technology to modernize 19 ITIs in the state.
He said, of the total project cost of Rs 683 .27 crores, the TATA company will bear the 86 percent and the rest would be borne by the state government. FD JK
