Tripura Government takes initiatives to recruit college teachers

Agartala, Mar 24 (FD) When the colleges in the state are facing acute shortage of teachers, the Tripura Government has taken initiative to solve the crisis through new appointments.
“We have taken initiative to fill up vacancies in colleges. 401 college teachers would be appointed to fill up the vacancies. We have already given financial approval for appointment of 200 Assistant Professors and the large number of vacancies would be filled up in phased manner”, Chief Minister Dr, Manik Saha, who is also the state Education Minister informed the state assembly on Monday.
He further pointed out that the process of filling up vacant posts of the Head Masters and Asst. Headmasters would be initiated in no time. The details of the fulfilling the recruitment would be finalized soon, Dr. Saha added.
Chief Minister said that besides recruiting college teachers, the Government has also taken initiative to develop infrastructures for 25 degree colleges, five professional degree colleges, six poly-technique colleges and one degree technical colleges.
He said when appointment of teachers in institutions is required for teaching, unless there are no infrastructures it cannot run smoothly. FD JK
