Agartala, Aug 22 (FD) The Tripura Government has ordered a major reshuffle in the Forest Department, transferring and posting nine IFS and TFS officers with immediate effect and until further orders.
The order, issued by the General Administration (Personnel & Training) Department in the interest of public service, involves key field, research, project and administrative positions across several districts and forest-related institutions in the state.
Under the notification, Paushali Roy, IFS, who was serving as DCF, Working Plan-I & II, with additional charge as Director (SFM), SCATFORM Project, Tripura, Agartala, has been posted as District Forest Officer (DFO), West Tripura, Agartala.
In another significant change, Akshay Balu Bhorde, IFS, previously DFO, West Tripura, has been posted as DCF, Working Plan-I & II. He will also hold the additional charges of Director (SFM) and Director, Livelihood Capacity Development (LCD), SCATFORM Project. Consequently, Harshakumar C, IFS, Director (M&E), has been relieved of his additional charge as Director, LCD, SCATFORM Project.
Atanu Chakraborty, IFS, has been transferred from the post of DFO, Sepahijala, and posted as DFO, Forest Research Division, Gandhigram, Agartala. Kush Roy, IFS, presently serving as DFO, Forest Research Division, has been posted as DFO, South Tripura, Belonia.
Following this posting, Kamal Bhowmik, TFS Grade-I, who was serving as SDFO, Sabroom, with additional charge of DFO, South Tripura, has been relieved of the additional charge.
The reshuffle has also brought changes in the Tripura Forest Development and Plantation Corporation (TFDPC). Jaymalya Bhattacharjee, IFS, presently Executive Director of TFDPC Ltd., Agartala, has been posted as DFO, Sepahijala.
KG Roy, IFS, currently serving as Director, Community Institution, Capacity Building and Knowledge Management under the ELEMENT Project at Forest Headquarters, Agartala, has been appointed Executive Director, TFDPC Ltd. He will additionally hold the charge of General Manager, Industrial Estate, Nagicherra, West Tripura.
In Gomati district, Deependra Jewaria, IFS, presently SDFO, Amarpur, with additional charge of DFO, Gomati District, has been posted as District Forest Officer, Gomati District, Udaipur.
The notification has also provided for the posting of Anand Justin, IFS, a 2024-batch probationer currently undergoing the institutional phase of professional training at the Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy (IGNFA), Dehradun. He will be posted as SDFO, Amarpur, upon completion of his institutional training.
Among the TFS officers, Babul Mog, TFS, presently General Manager, Industrial Estate, TFDPC Ltd., Nagicherra, has been posted as Director (Administration), ELEMENT Project, Forest Headquarters, Agartala.
The transfers and postings take effect immediately and will remain in force until further orders. FD JK
