Tripura government decides to create awareness against drug and road safety

Agartala, Dec 24 (FD) Tripura Government today decided to launch an awareness programme on Wake up consumer or the “Jago grahak jago” in 25 higher educational institutions in the state, state minister for food and civil supplies, Sushanta Chowdhury said. “Two events would be made under the awareness programme on Road Safety and Anti Drug programmes from the first week of the next year”, he said this in the “National Consumer Day-2024 programme organised by the department at Prajna Bhavan here. Jago’ (Wake Up Consumer), ‘Road Safety’, and ‘Anti-Drug’ in 25 higher educational institutions across the state from next week. This was announced by Food Minister Sushanta Chowdhury at the “National Consumer Day-2024” program organized by the Department of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Welfare at Prajna Bhavan in Agartala today on the occasion of National Consumer Day.He said that the main programmes to enhance awareness among the students of higher education, adding that even if 10 people get awarded about the programme, the society would be benefitted.
