Tripura Destination Business Conclave to attract ₹3,000 crore investment

The Tripura Destination Business Conclave, which began today, is set to attract investments worth ₹3,000 crore, according to State Industries & Commerce Secretary, Kiran Gitte. The event has drawn 150 investors from across India, including Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, West Bengal, and Assam.
Talking to reporters on the sidelines of the conclave, Mr Gitte said several memoranda of understanding will be signed between various investment companies and the Tripura Government in the presence of Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha tomorrow.
Mr Gitte also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting around 200 startups every year under its Startup Policy 2025. Besides, under the Rising and Accelerating MSME performance programme the state aims to create 3200 model entrepreneurs.
Tripura Destination Business Conclave is an effort by the state government to make investors from other parts of the country aware of the policies, incentives and other requisite facilities provided by the state and Centre to invest in this small northeastern state.
