Tripura CM sanctions additional Rs. 13 crores from his relief fund for the flood victims

Agartala, Jan 8 (FD) Tripura Chief Minister, Dr Manik Saha has sanctioned additional Rs. 13 crores for the flood victims of last August from his relief fund.
“The government has sanctioned an additional ₹13 crore from Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to mitigate post-flood damages from August 2024, bringing the total allocation to ₹25 crore.
This fund will be utilised through the Revenue Department (Disaster Management) to support affected areas and provide necessary assistance”, he said in a social media post yesterday.
When the flood occurred in the month of last August had caused at least 31 people officially, when according to the private assessment the reported death was 37. The flood victims had suffered a loss of about 15000 crores as estimated by the state government.
When the state’s Disaster Management department, a central government wing had sanctioned Rs. 25 crores for the flood victims. The Chief Ministers and a good number of individuals had generously given money for the flood victims. FD JK
