Tripura CM reviews TSQAAF, Prioritizes quality Education and Infrastructure

Agartala, Nov 5 (FD) A review meeting on the draft Tripura School Quality Assessment and Accreditation Framework (TSQAAF) was held today at the Secretariat, chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha. The meeting was attended by Special Secretary of the Education Department Raval Hemendra Kumar, Director of Secondary and Primary Education NC Sharma, Director of SCERT L. Darlong, various education scheme heads, and other officials of SCERT. During the meeting, the main contents of the draft TSQAAF were discussed in detail.
The Chief Minister stated that the state government has always prioritized quality education. Therefore, alongside developing better educational infrastructure, importance should be placed on evaluating the overall level of education through continuous review. He emphasized that necessary and effective initiatives should be taken by the relevant authorities to ensure students achieve good results. The Chief Minister also instructed stakeholders to submit a detailed report on the implementation of the first phase of the pilot project of TSQAAF in Dhalai and South Tripura districts to properly assess its successes and challenges.
Special Secretary Raval Hemendra Kumar provided a detailed outline of the draft TSQAAF. He noted that the framework would help identify educational and infrastructural deficiencies in school complexes and allow for appropriate remedial actions. The Special Secretary added that the launch of TSQAAF in the state is planned soon. SCERT and Secondary Education Department officials discussed their ongoing teacher training programs during the meeting.
