Agartala, Mar 22 (FD) Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Saturday said that Reliance Industries Jio is keen to invest in the Information Technology in the state.
He said this after a team of the Jio met him and expressed their keenness to invest in the IT sector of the state.
This was the fallout of the CM’s earlier meetings with the Chairman and Managing Director of the Reliance Industries in Mumbai and Advantage Assam 2.0 at Guwahati recently.
In a facebook post Saha said, “During my earlier meetings with Shri Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director, Reliance Industries at Mumbai and Advantage Assam 2.0 at Guwahati, I had requested him to support our vision for Viksit Tripura”.
He further said, “Following his guidance, team of officials led by Business Head, North Eastern Zone, Reliance Jio, visited Tripura to explore investment opportunities in key sectors like IT and IT-enabled services, Data Centres, Natural Gas exploration and fertiliser production, Petroleum, Ethanol Production from Bamboo, Rubber wood furniture, Agro-Food processing and Tourism. Their enthusiasm for IT sector in particular, is very exciting!”
He hoped that this group of Industries will collaborate with the state government.
“Looking forward to collaboration with Reliance Group of Industries for transforming Tripura's future together”, Chief Minister added in the facebook post.
In the last business meet in the state held last month, the state Government signed 87 Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) valued at a total of 3,700 crore. FD JK
