Tripura CM opens 101 BC centres of Tripura Gramin Bank virtually

Agatala, Nov 28 (FD) Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Monday inaugurated altogether 101 Business Correspondent (BC) centres of Tripura Gramin Bank (TGB) virtually from his official residence.
TGB chairman Satyendra Singh and other officials were present in the inaugural programme.
Interacting with the media, Dr. Saha said, the new Banking Correspondent centres will help strengthening the banking service in the rural areas.
The Business Correspondent (BC) centres included- 12 in West Tripura, 14 in Sepahijala, 12 in Gomati, 16 in South Tripura, 9 in Dhalai, 16 in Khowai, 5 in Unakoti and 7 in North Tripura.
According to the chief minister the Banking Correspondent centres will enable the people to access various services including payment through AEPS, deposits, balance enquiry, fund transfer, transaction in SHGs, printing of passbook, account opening, enrollment in PMSBY, PMJJBY etc.
The new facilities are expected to enable the public to access banking services more conveniently and help the government achieve financial inclusion.
Tripura Grameen Bank has a total of 148 branches, 17 micro branches and 1 RSETI operating in the state. FD PD
