Agartala, Sept 27 (FD) Tripura achieved the success of being the fourth state in the country to introduce e-Cabinet system and fast going for digitization of the official system.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha Wednesday launched the e-Cabinet system at the Civil Secretariat here and presided over the first paperless meeting of the Council of Ministers.
After Uttaranchal, Uttar Pradesh, and Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura became the fourth state to adopt the E-Cabinet system.
“Tripura government has decided to start e-offices in all offices and is going ahead in mission mode.
Today we honor all the offices that have implemented 100% e-office facilities in the secretariat.
The current state government has already taken several steps to build digital infrastructure to ensure environment friendly and paperless circles”, Saha said in a social media post.
“E-cabinet started in Tripura from today towards Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji's 'Digital India' mission.
Today inaugurated the e-cabinet at the Secretariat and held the first meeting of the cabinet in the new system.
Tripura is the fourth state in the country to have this e-cabinet facility open. This new initiative will strengthen the e-governance initiative”, he said in another post.
The Chief Minister said, 4,250 employees in 94 departments have already received training, and over 25,000 e-files have been generated in the E-Office.
The Chief Minister felicitated all the departments that have implemented 100 percent e-office facilities at the Secretariat today. The chief minister also said on this occasion that the current state government has already taken various steps to build digital infrastructure to ensure an eco-friendly and paperless environment.
