Agartala, Feb 15 (FD) Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Saturday invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inaugurate the newly redeveloped Mata Tripureswari Temple at Matabari, at Udaipur in Gomati district.
Saha met with Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, at his official residence in Lok Kalyan Marg, New Delhi and invited him, official sources said.
The meeting was a crucial step in strengthening the ties between the state and the central government, sources said.
This iconic temple is a symbol of the state's rich cultural heritage, and the Prime Minister's presence would be a testament to the temple's significance.
Chief Minister Saha also conveyed his warm regards to Prime Minister Modi for the success in Delhi Assembly Elections, putting the people's budget and his successful trip to France and the USA. The Chief Minister acknowledged the Prime Minister's efforts in promoting India's interests on the global stage.
Furthermore, Chief Minister Saha brought to the Prime Minister's attention various issues related to the development of Tripura, setting up premier institutions like AIIMS, IIT, and IIM in the state to promote education and research.
He also pointed out that the National Highway from Kamalpur to Santirbazar via Ambassa, Ganda Twisa, Amarpur & Santirbazar needs to be built soon.
The meeting was a positive step towards fostering a stronger partnership between the state and the central government.
Sources said, Chief Minister Saha's efforts to promote Tripura's development and cultural heritage were well-received by Prime Minister Modi. FD JK
